Keeping Pants Alive Longer Pakuranga

Every year thousands of pairs of jeans, shorts and other pants end up in landfill when they could be saved with some patience, care and a little creativity!

But it can be hard to know where to start. Typically, knees and thighs are the high stress areas that need mending and reinforcing and we’ll work on these in several inspiring ways at this fun, rewarding workshop.

Bring along one or two pairs of pants that you’d like to fix up and enjoy wearing again. It’s all about re-making to last.

Sewing machines, needles, threads, old clothes to patch with… and the odd interesting button provided.

Te Tuhi is a fabulous, contemporary gallery and creative community connection space. It also has a lovely cafe serving great coffee and food – Aotearoa’s first training café for people with intellectual disabilities.

See you there!
