TUESDAY TO THURSDAY AT RAWENE AVE
This week, we’ll be operating from Westmere on Tuesday all day, Wednesday from 2pm, and all day Thursday. We welcome customers to make appointments or drop in to Florence the mobile mending van, at 2/2 Rawene Ave.
We’re available from 10am to 6pm or 7pm, but can alter hours if needed, by arrangement.
Sometimes garments need a simple repair or alteration ; other times it’s a redesign and refit to get garments fitting you well and bringing confidence and even a sense of fashion fun to your day. If you’re short on time and don’t want to wait in our first-come-first-served format, it’s best to call first and make an appointment.
Here’s some examples of what people bring along:
- zip replacements, done ideally with one of our deconstructed zips
- hemming of all types
- split seam fixes
- button and buttonhole sewing
- tailored jacket re-sizing in full or part
- Coat-to-jacket redesign
- Dress-to-skirt redesign
- wool and jersey hole repair
- evening dress hem and/or neckline redesign
- wedding and bridal gown alterations
- jeans inseam or crotch repair
- formal and functional uniform repair, resize and alteration
