TUESDAY APPTS ONLY

This Tuesday, we’ll be doing appointments at Rawene Ave, as well as around Westmere.

As we start to branch into restoring and altering gowns and more complex tailoring jobs, it’s important that we have a day dedicated to these longer appointments. Sometimes we go off site to do this mahi as well. Always call ahead to see where we are, or to book a space – Sally can see you as late as 7pm if you need to come along after work.

In general these are the sorts of things we work on in a given week:

• zip replacements, done ideally with one of our deconstructed zips
• hemming of all types
• split seam fixes
• button and buttonhole sewing
• tailored jacket re-sizing in full or part
• Coat-to-jacket redesign
• Dress-to-skirt redesign
• wool and jersey hole repair
• evening dress hem and/or neckline redesign
• wedding and bridal gown alteration discussions
• jeans patching – inside leg, back and crotch seam
